🌊 The Sunday Tide
A weekly moment to pause, reflect and feel inspired
Welcome in 🍵 This is a small Sunday space to slow down, breathe out, and soften before a new week begins. It’s a meaningful way for me to share with you regularly, while honoring my own rhythms. Pour something warm, find a quiet corner, and let’s practice feeling more steady within ourselves.
Here's what the tide brought in this week.
The Wild Oracle
Intuitive wisdom from nature, to help you reflect on your own inner world.
There’s a way forward you’ve been sensing: Slower on the outside.
You’ve been reaching for consistency, and believing it takes bursts of energy & motivation to get there. Slug moves in small steady motions, and still arrives (while enjoying the scenery along the way!).
The consistency you desire doesn’t need to deplete you. It’s in the smallest action you can repeat without overwhelm. It’s your next growth, at the pace that actually works for you.
What might become possible if you let the process be slower?
The Spark
You think the wanting is moving you forward. It isn't. Each time you reach for where you want to be, you confirm to yourself that here is not enough.
The life you're reaching for is received by the part of you who can already feel full. Gratitude is how you become that person, now, before it arrives.
In The Studio
This week I painted the ocean in watercolor for my dad for Father’s Day. My favorite part is layering gouache over the top to lift the sea foam and the breaking waves, making the surf come alive on the page.
Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums, yet always humbles me. You can’t rush it, and you can’t paint over a mistake the way you can with acrylic. We actually don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents, as Bob Ross would say 😉. The water goes where it wants. All you do is set the conditions and allow it to move fluidly.
Fitting, for a week about trusting the slower way. The things we stop gripping so tightly are often the ones that come the most alive.
Go Deeper
Maybe you’ve felt a little scattered lately. Stretched thin, going through the motions, sensing you’ve drifted from yourself somewhere along the way without quite being able to name when.
I made a quiz to help you reflect on where you are in your journey right now, and what you most need from here. A few quiet minutes is all you need.
What might you do slower this week, and trust that you'll still arrive? I’d love if you shared with me in the comments.
Until the next tide,
Jen
