A re-introduction, what’s next and a new name
I want to pause the storytelling for a moment and reconnect with you, because something powerful is unfolding, and I want to invite you in for tea and come along with me.
This space has always been guided by intuition, creativity, and flow - just like my journey as The Intuitive Mermaid.
The Intuitive Mermaid symbolizes a passionate, creative soul on a journey of deep self-discovery, just as it did when I first began this work ten years ago. It represents those who courageously dive into their true calling, embracing intuition and living a heart-centered, intentional life.
In 2021, I stepped away from the mermaid name, feeling called to explore a new phase.
Now, I find myself drawn back - resonating more than ever, as if my higher self always knew this name would find its way back to me, even when I didn’t yet understand why.
Trusting my intuition, even when it’s unclear, has always brought me full circle to where I’m meant to be. There’s an energy of renewal in the air, and I’m excited to share what’s been evolving behind the scenes!
Re-Introducing Myself
For those of you who are newer to this sacred space, or perhaps those who’ve been with me for years but haven’t heard from me in a while, let me re-introduce myself.
I’m Jen, an intuitive guide, writer, and artist who helps people reconnect with their inner wisdom, find clarity in life’s in-between spaces, and step into a life that feels deeply aligned.
I write & create when inspiration strikes, when I feel a deep pull to share, free from the pressure of content creation constructs.
My work blends intuitive guidance, creativity, and spiritual practices to support personal transformation.

From Return to Self to Hearth & Tide
As I evolve, so does this space where I write, connect and share.
Return to Self is actually the name of my online program for the past four years, and it will remain so. When I moved my writing to Substack, a name hadn’t come to me yet and I didn’t want to let a sneaky creative snag (the kind that tricks you into thinking you need everything perfectly in place before you begin) to keep me from taking action.
Recently, a new name for my writing publication synchronistically came to me.
I’ve felt a deep calling to let this space become something even more reflective of who I am and where I’m heading in the near future. I’m not surprised that a new name came with it too, cause that’s how manifestation unfolds.
Which is why, very soon, this writing space will officially become Hearth & Tide.
Why Hearth & Tide?
Hearth & Tide is going to be the name of my writing publication, a space to share deep reflections, intuitive inspiration, and creative exploration. It exists within The Intuitive Mermaid brand which is dedicated to guiding others on their journey of self-discovery.
The name represents two elemental forces that shape this work:
The Hearth – A symbol of warmth, grounding, and home. Rooted in fire and earth, it represents sacred space, ritual, and the practices that anchor us.
The Tide – The ever-changing nature of the ocean, a force of movement, mystery, and the unknown. It reminds us to trust our inner compass as we navigate life’s shifting currents.
Together, Hearth & Tide speaks to finding home within ourselves while embracing the ebb and flow of life. It’s about honoring both stability and surrender, grounding and fluidity, intention and trust - the yin & yang.
A Hint of What’s to Come
Hearth & Tide is also beautiful symbolism for the journey I am about to take, and I’d love to take you along with me while I share in this new upcoming experience I’m about to embark on.
I am in the midst of a profound life change - another evolution within my soul’s path. I have been guiding others for many years, offering insights and wisdom through the process of expansion.
Now, I want to share an intimate look into my own journey and how I navigate the complexities of following my own heart in this chaotic world.
I strive to be a living example of the work I believe in - the expansion, the messy, and everything in between.
My hope is that you find pieces of your own journey within my words, whispering to yourself, "My gosh, I've been there too" or "I'm struggling too." And in that recognition, may you feel less alone, reminded that this path isn’t easy, but it is yours to walk, and you are capable of following your heart.
I am fully embracing the unknown with open arms and an open heart. I can hardly wait to share this experience with you - to bring you along as I navigate change, stretch my comfort zone, and embrace the unknown through another life cycle.
For now as I build intrigue, I want to simply reconnect, let you know what’s ahead, and invite you into this new chapter with me.
